Sean Karow - principal After graduating from the University of Guelph with a degree in theatre, Sean switched from the drama of the stage for the drama of the financial services business, becoming a corporate communicator. Working in financial services for ten years, Sean honed his skills in print, intranet and video communications. While his main focus was creating communications for an internal audience, Sean also edited technical publications for mutual fund back office administrators. Sean then headed out on his own forming Prime in 1999. "My goal is to put some fun and passion into corporate communcations. Many people come to work each day with a zest for their jobs," explains Sean. "My role is to speak to these qualities and align them with corporate goals." Professionally, Sean is a member of International Association of Business Communicators, Meeting Professionals International and Writers Guild of Canada. Personally, he is a Big Brother with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Toronto, a member of ToastMasters, and a Mason with Acacia Lodge.
Tom Kernaghan - writer Tom has a flair for words. Just ask him to say something and he'll just free associate for a while and tell you that it's poetry. Kidding aside, Tom is dedicated to capturing and communicating the intangible with clarity and wit. Whether you want your text to motivate, illustrate, demonstrate or even infuriate, Tom will write the right words. With over ten years of experience writing for corporations, community newspapers and television documentaries, he guarantees to make your text sing.
Donna Metcalf – art director / designer Donna is an innovative and client-oriented art director and graphic designer with expertise in brand development, corporate communications, advertising & marketing. Donna is also a great listener – she has seldom said a word to us – and has broad technical knowledge and an ability to visualize large concepts. A pleasant collaborator, she works with clients ensuring the most creative solutions are discovered. "Many years back, I was at the Ontario Science Centre designing signage and exhibit graphics. As the youngster of the group, I really enjoyed the team work. After all these years, I've learned that collaboration is really the best way to go." Always mindful to operate within a project’s scope, she continues to deliver original and powerful work.
Michael Strange - camera operator Mike considers himself a lighting cameraman. "It's a British term," explains Mike. "Some people find that the term cinematographer is a tad lofty, snobby even." Mike is nothing like that. He's a down-in-the-trenches kind of guy who operates his camera as well as lights the scene. Throw in his good nature and his ease in a corporate environment, and you have the ingredients that make a pro - no matter what the professional title. When not working on corporate video, Michael is shooting television documentaries and the dreaded "red carpet" at film festivals or award shows. "After a while, I just get tired of seeing Russell (Crowe), Bruce (Willis) and Cher ( )."
